Club Rules
A short set of house rules, so the room stays calm for everyone.
These are the terms of visiting BATTLE STATION PC CLUB, a calm computer club. Booking a station or walking through the door means you're happy to keep to them. They exist to protect the quiet, the stations and the wall — nothing more.
Hours and booking
We're open every day from 10:00, and the last hour begins at 23:00; there are no overnight sessions. You can book a station through the site or at the desk. A booked seat is held for fifteen minutes past your start time — after that we may offer it to a walk-in. Reserved evening blocks and window seats are held for the full block once you've arrived.
Rates and time
Rates are per seat and per hour, shown clearly at the desk before you start. The clock stops the moment you stand up for good, so you only pay for the time you sit. We take no deposits and run no top-up cards. Tournaments and club nights are scored on points and time alone — there is no money riding on any match, and never will be.
Conduct in the room
Keep your voice low. The whole point of this club is that a full floor still feels calm, so heated moments stay at your own desk. Be decent to the people beside you and to whoever's at the front. We can ask anyone who breaks the quiet, damages the room or makes others uncomfortable to leave, without a refund for the remaining time.
Stations and equipment
Treat the gear as shared. Don't unplug, reconfigure or open the towers; if something isn't working, tell the desk and we'll sort it. Food and open drinks stay clear of the keyboards — there's space on each desk for a covered mug. You're responsible for damage caused on purpose or through plain carelessness.
The sketch wall
The markers and paper by the desk are free to use and free to ignore. Draw only on the scrap pads and the wall board, never on the desks, screens or walls of the building. By pinning a sketch to the wall you allow us to display it in the club and to photograph the room for the site; ask and we'll take yours down at any time.
Safety and liability
Take breaks, mind your posture and look after your own belongings — we can't watch every bag. We keep the room in good order but aren't liable for personal items or for losses outside our reasonable control. If anything feels unsafe, tell the desk straight away.
